Darjeeling second flush
Darjeeling is a small region in India (between Nepal and Bhutan) located at an altitude of more than 2,200 meters above sea level, with a temperate climate conducive to tourism. Plantations of the Darjeeling species provide approx. 4-5% of India's total tea production. Due to the high quality of the crop, virtually the entire harvest is for export. The good quality is accompanied by the high prices achieved by this species of tea on world markets. The second harvest (Second Flush) of Darjeeling lasts from the beginning of May to the end of June and is often accompanied by monsoon rainfall, so that the bush undergoes rapid growth giving an abundant harvest of small leaves. This type of tea is very popular and is considered a very high quality product. Darjeeling SF tea is made from the youngest shoots, to which it owes its delicate infusion with a light golden color and a light, slightly sweet taste.
