Darjeeling first flush
Darjeeling is a small region in India (between Nepal and Bhutan) located at an altitude of more than 2,200 meters above sea level, with a temperate climate conducive to tourism. Plantations of the Darjeeling species provide approx. 4-5% of India's total tea production. Due to the high quality of the crop, virtually the entire harvest is for export. Good quality is accompanied by high prices achieved by this tea species on world markets. Particularly popular is tea from the first harvest of the season (First Flush), the sale and distribution of which is carefully rationed. Indian tea from the first harvest (First Flush) produces an infusion with a light, golden hue and a delicious floral aroma.
