Brazil Santos
Brazil has been the world's largest producer of coffee since coffee trees were imported from Guyana in 1720 - producing a third of the world's crop. Coffee is grown in almost all Brazilian states, but most production comes from the states of Paraná, Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, Espirito Santo and Bahia. With such favorable growing conditions, thousands of small farms produce coffee in Brazil. The favorable climate allows the beans to be processed dry. Brazilian coffee has numerous varieties, but they generally have a delicate, mild flavor and are characterized by low acidity. It can be roasted light or dark, and is ideal for espresso blends, as it produces a rich crema.
