Dominican Republic
The coffee comes from Ciabo, located along the northern coast of the Caribbean Sea in the Dominican Republic. Coffee plants are grown here at elevations ranging from 900 to 1,900 meters above sea level. The coffee plantation we offer is located at an altitude of 1,500 m. Due to its proximity to the North Atlantic Ocean, harvesting in this region begins in August and ends in February. The climate allows for 4-5 blooms of varying intensity.
Dominican Republic coffee is distinguished by its well-balanced, delicate acidity and velvety flavor. Dried fruits are evident in the flavor notes, and the finish will detect toffee sweetness and hazelnut bitterness.
