Honey extracted about 85% from the nectaration of linden trees of various species, from broad-leaved and small-leaved, to honey tree. The remaining about 15% is nectar from other flowers and trees from the nectaration of linden. These include field poppy, clover and foxglove. The color of honey before crystallization takes on tones ranging from greenish yellow through amber and golden yellow. Harvesting of linden honey takes place during the flowering of the linden tree, that is, in early July. Lime honey is used as a natural aid for colds and flu, and also has antibacterial and expectorant properties.
