It comes from the Aceh Takengon region of Indonesia's Sumatra, where fertile volcanic soils, a tropical climate and mountainous plantations located at an altitude of about 1,000 meters above sea level create the perfect conditions for growing high-quality coffee.
The uniqueness of Kopi Luwak is related to the traditional way of harvesting the beans. The graders select only the ripest coffee fruits, and the natural processes that occur during digestion affect the character of the subsequent brew. The result is a coffee with remarkable mildness, low bitterness and an exceptionally harmonious flavor profile.
