Assam Dekorai TGFOP

Taste: Full-bodied, expressive and deep, with a malty note characteristic of Assam. There are hints of honey, dark bread and a slight caramel sweetness in the brew, which balance the light, pleasant astringency. This is a tea with a solid structure and a long, warming finish.

Preparation suggestion: Pour 2-3 grams of leaves into about 200 ml of water at 95-100°C. Steep for 2 to 4 minutes, depending on how intense an infusion you want. A shorter brew will bring out more of the natural sweetness and mellowness, while a longer brew will emphasize the depth, strength and astringency characteristic of Assam.

This tea stands up well to re-pouring - the second infusion will be softer, but will still retain its distinct malty profile.

Classic morning
Brew it stronger and serve it in a large cup as the first brew of the day. Its intense character naturally stimulates and gives a solid tea "opening" to the morning. It's a simple daily ritual that always works.

With a little milk
Add a small amount of warm milk to accentuate the malt notes and soften the astringency. The brew becomes creamier and more enveloping, while retaining its distinct character. Perfect for a leisurely breakfast.

Afternoon break
Brewed a little shorter, it gives a more balanced and milder brew. It will work great as a companion for a breather moment during the day, without being overly intense. Subtler, but still distinct.
