Immediately after the actual fermentation, the leaves are moistened to start the follow-up fermentation. After this stage, the tea is packaged and stored for several months in a dark and humid place. Storage gives the tea a distinct character with the typical earthy, slightly sweet notes. The infusion acquires a dark, red color. After brewing, the leaves unfurl, showing their shape and turn almost black. In aroma they resemble fresh earth after rain. The infusion has a distinct character with a slightly sweetish note. Pleasantly perceptible sweetness blends perfectly with the typical earthiness with a hint of chocolate aftertaste. Subtly perceptible freshness, which is associated with green teas. Recommended for all red tea lovers, but not only. It's a great way to start the adventure of discovering the unique flavors of Pu-Erh.
