For generations, South Americans have turned to yerba mate as a natural source of energy and a way to boost concentration. It’s an excellent alternative to coffee—it provides a gradual, long-lasting boost, helping you stay active and feel good all day long. Choose Mate Brazil Despalada and discover the authentic taste of Brazilian tradition captured in every serving of this aromatic brew.

Mate Brazil Despalada This is a high-quality Brazilian yerba mate consisting of 95% green leaves harvested from the upper part of the Paraguayan holly shrub. The leaves are cut to a thickness of 4–5 mm, allowing the dried leaves to retain their natural character and rich aroma. The product contains a minimal amount of dust and ground twigs, resulting in a cleaner infusion and a more convenient preparation process.

Hot-air-dried yerba mate is characterized by a fresh, herbal flavor and a high content of naturally occurring stimulants. For generations, it has been valued in South American countries as a beverage that promotes concentration, boosts energy, and helps maintain a sense of well-being throughout the day.

Dried appearance: The dried leaves consist mainly of large, coarsely cut green leaves with a uniform texture. Thanks to the high proportion of leaves and minimal amounts of dust and twigs, the blend looks exceptionally clean and appealing. The color of the dried leaves ranges from light green to olive tones, and upon opening the package, you can smell the fresh, herbal aroma characteristic of Brazilian yerba mate.

Dry ingredients: yerba mate 100%

Country of origin: Brazil

Packaging: 200g

Traditional brewing method: Pour the dried herb into the container, filling it to between 1/2 and 3/4 of its volume. Cover the opening with your hand and gently shake it so that the finer particles rise to the top. Then tilt the cup at an angle of about 45°, so that the tea leaves settle on one side. Pour a small amount of lukewarm water into the empty space and wait 1–2 minutes. Place the bombilla in the moistened part of the yerba, then pour water at a temperature of 70–80°C over it. Drink the infusion through the bombilla, adding more water repeatedly until the yerba mate loses its flavor and aroma.

Recommended daily intake: Typically, 15 to 30 g of dried yerba mate is prepared daily, though the amount can be adjusted to suit individual preferences. Due to its natural caffeine content, yerba mate is not recommended for children, pregnant women, or people who are sensitive to stimulants.

Store in a tightly closed container, in a dry place.

The product may contain Almonds.

In a mug or teapot
Put 2–3 teaspoons of dried tea leaves into a mug or strainer, pour water at a temperature of 70–80°C over them, and let steep for 5–10 minutes. After steeping, separate the tea leaves from the infusion.

Cold (Tereré)
Pour the yerba mate into a cup or pitcher, fill it with chilled water, and add ice cubes. For a more refreshing flavor, you can enhance the drink with slices of citrus or fresh herbs.

In a French press
Add about 10–15 g of dried tea leaves to 500 ml of water at a temperature of 70–80°C. Steep for 5 minutes, then slowly press down the plunger. This is a convenient way to prepare a larger amount of tea.

Cold Brew
Pour cold water over the dried leaves and let them sit in the refrigerator for 6–8 hours. You’ll end up with a delicate, mild beverage that has a natural stimulating effect and less bitterness.

In a pitcher for several people
Pour 15–20 g of yerba mate into a teapot, add 1 liter of water at a temperature of 70–80°C, and let it steep for about 10 minutes. After straining, the infusion is ready to be served hot or chilled.
