Gen Mai Cha is one of Japan's most distinctive teas, prized for its unusually calm and soothing character. The combination of green tea and roasted rice creates an exceptionally harmonious brew - warm, slightly toasty and naturally mellow. As a result, the tea has for years remained a symbol of the daily, peaceful ritual of tea drinking in Japan.
Roasted rice lends subtle notes of nuts and freshly roasted grains to the brew, while tempering the vegetal freshness of the green tea. The effect is soft, delicate and extremely comfortable to drink, so Gen Mai Cha is perfect both in the morning and during quieter moments during the day.
Taste: Gen Mai Cha delights with a mild, harmonious flavor with distinct notes of roasted rice and subtle sweetness. The infusion is soft, slightly nutty and mildly cereal, and the freshness of the green tea beautifully balances its warm, toasty character.
Aromat: Warm, pleasantly roasted and slightly grainy. There are notes of rice, freshly roasted grains and a subtle vegetal freshness of green tea.
Dried appearance: A blend of green tea leaves and golden roasted rice grains. The dryness is varied, natural and very characteristic of traditional Japanese Gen Mai Cha.
Dry ingredients: green tea 100%
Country of origin: China
Preparation suggestion: Pour about 2-3 grams of tea into 200 ml of 75-80°C water and brew for about 2-3 minutes. Shorter brewing will keep the green tea fresher, while longer brewing will bring out the fuller notes of roasted rice and the more enveloping character of the brew.
The tea is also well suited for subsequent brewing - subsequent infusions remain mild, harmonious and still retain their characteristic aroma.

The dried tea is recommended to be stored in a dry and cool place. The product may contain Almonds.

Classically Japanese:

For a light meal:
Its grainy, slightly toasty profile pairs well with rice, vegetables and simple Asian cuisine. The tea subtly cleanses the flavor and builds a harmonious combination with the food.
Evening ritual:
The warm, mellow character of Gen Mai Cha also makes it perfect for the evening. A cup of this tea builds a calm, calming atmosphere after a busy day.
Signature: a Japanese moment of calm:
Natural light, ceramic utensils and the aroma of roasted rice create an atmosphere inspired by a peaceful, everyday tea ritual. Gen Mai Cha allows you to slow down and focus on simple, pleasant moments.
