Gen Mai Cha

Gen mai cha is a variety of green tea enriched with roasted rice grains. When brewed, the result is a golden-green infusion with a sweetish taste and a delicate chestnut note. Green tea is obtained by subjecting the leaves to drying immediately after they are plucked from the bush, so as not to start the oxidation process. This allows green tea to retain more of the ingredients with medicinal properties. Green tea has a very herbal aroma and a noticeably milder taste than other types of tea.
