Assam province is a region in the northeast of India where a tea variety called Camellia assamica is grown, whose leaves are often used to refine inferior blends due to their high quality. The Assam Dikom variety STGFOP (Special Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe) is considered a quality rarity, containing very fine, carefully selected leaves of even size. Proper brewing results in an aromatic, dark red infusion with a natural honey flavor.
