Syrups have long been household allies in the fight against seasonal infections. To this day, for example, elderberry or raspberry syrup is considered a real treasure. Thanks to their high content of flavonoids, elderberry flowers and fruits show excellent healing properties, while raspberries, on the other hand, are a valuable source of well-absorbed vitamin C. Added to hot tea, syrup made from these fruits is great, especially as part of home cures for colds. Fruit syrup, by the way, is worth having in the kitchen all year round, especially if you have children or are gluttons yourself. It's much easier to convince your kids to drink water if you dilute it with a little sweet syrup. Such a concoction in the summer wonderfully quenches thirst. In winter, on the other hand, there is nothing better than an aromatic hot tea with a spoonful of syrup or jam.

An important ingredient in drinks

Colorful drinks, no matter - alcoholic or non-alcoholic - cannot do without sweet liqueurs or syrups. The most famous of these are, of course, blue Blue Curacao or red grenadine. However, if we are just at the beginning of our bartending adventure, we can also successfully reach for ordinary syrups for drinks, especially fruit, mint or nut syrups. Add to this good quality alcohol, juices and milk drinks - and homemade drinks practically make themselves. Raspberry or ginger syrup will also perfectly enrich the taste of beer. Fans of such combinations should always have a supply of these sweet additives in the bar.
